Patty Tavatanakit was born on October 11, 1999, in Bangkok, Thailand. She went interested in golf from an early age and only 21-years-old won her first LPGA game.
In 2015, Patty Tavatanakit started taking part in amateur golf tournaments. In 2016, she won a pair of AJGA Tournaments in 2016 (Rolex Tournament of Champions and Ping Invitational). She reached the round of 16 in both the 2016 U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship and the U.S. Women’s Amateur. Patty Tavatanakit was named the 2015-2016 Thailand Amateur Ladies Golf Association Player of the Year and runner-up at the Thailand Ladies Amateur Championship.
In 2017-2018, she was named the WGCA and Pac-12 Conference Freshman of the Year, as well as WGCA First Team All-American and All-Pac-12 First Team.
In 2019, she turned professional and made nine cuts in 11 starts on the Symetra Tour with victories at the Donald Ross Classic, Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic and the Sioux Falls GreatLIFE Challenge
